Peil
Gaelic Football is played in Laurel Hill as both schools combine to compete in County and Provincial competitions. First Year football is co-ordinated by In. Ní Chonchúr and training is usually on Fridays at lunchtime in the Halla. All First years are welcome to join. The First Year squad competes in blitzes run at different times throughout the year in Limerick and neighbouring counties. The focus of First Year Gaeilc Football is inclusion, active participation and fun. All first-years are encouraged to take part in the activity as a method of integrating with others, especially if they have not played before.
The Munster Ladies Junior football competitions runs from September through to December. This is an u16 and ½ age group competition where students in 2nd, 3rd and TY are encouraged to join. Competing teams are placed in groups of 4 with other teams from the same county. It is a competition run on an inital league basis. Laurel Hill has been successful in reached Munster Semi Finals in the past at this age group.
The Munster Ladies Senior football competition also runs from September through to December. Matches are played on a league basis with groups of 4 playing against one another. This age group is primarily for students in 5th and 6th year with students in Transition Year encouraged to play if over-age for the Junior competition. Cispheil
We have an active school basketball team in our school. Training takes place on a regular basis and is open to both current club players as well as students who wish to try a new sport. Training takes place on Tuesday Evenings in the Halla Spórt.
Camogaíocht
Camogie plays a central role in our schools sports activities. We have a highly successful Junior and Senior team. We encourage all students to participate in this sport, whether they play club or are complete beginners. Camogie Training occurs after school on Thursdays. We usually get a bus from the back gate after school to Mungret. The girls can be picked up from there at 5pm.
An buaicphointe a bhí againn i mbliaina ná nuair a bhuaigh an fhoireann sóisear an craobh coláiste.
The highlight of 2019 was our Junior team winning the Junior Camogie Colleges Final.
